Canada Day Celebrations

The Town of Cobourg Canada Day Celebrations will be held on Tuesday, July 1 in Victoria Park and the surrounding area.

Canadians across the country and worldwide show their pride in their history, culture and achievements on July 1. Canada Day in Cobourg has been a tradition in our beautiful Town for many years, bringing our entire community together, for residents and visitors to enjoy and share our special bond of living in one of the greatest countries in the world.

The Canada Day Parade begins at 11am. We would love to see you and your float in the parade. Register now at: www.Cobourg.ca/CanadaParade2024. *Note – there will be no parking on King Street on Tuesday, July 1 until after 12pm to allow for the parade and festivities.

Join the Town Council, the Concert Band of Cobourg and York Bell-Smith for the Opening Ceremonies in Victoria Park at 12:30pm. After the opening ceremonies, there will be children’s activities by the Cobourg Home Depot in the Lions Pavilion.

Canada Day Entertainment at the Bandshell begins at 1pm and continues until 9:30pm.

Fireworks will begin over the harbour beginning at 10pm sharp.

Pets are NOT allowed at Victoria Park and Rotary Harbourfront Park during the Canada Day festivities, other than service animals in compliance with the Customer Service Standard under the AODA. This festival is often hot and busy so we ask that you leave your pets at home to enjoy the air conditioning.
