There are plenty of options for food and drink at this year's Festival. You will find Rotary Vendors in at the west side of the festival, over by the arts and Esplanade and you will find Lions Vendors in Victoria Park.
The Cobourg Waterfront Festival began in 1967 as a modest art and craft show on Victoria Beach, celebrating Canada's Centennial with a fireworks display organized by local firefighters. In 1987, the Cobourg Rotary Club and Lions Club, along with a dedicated volunteer committee, revitalized and expanded the event. Today, it stands as one of Ontario's largest summer festivals, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each year. Held annually over the Canada Day long weekend, the festival features a blend of arts and crafts, live entertainment, amusement rides, food vendors, and a spectacular fireworks display. It's a cherished tradition that continues to unite the Cobourg community and visitors in celebration.
JOIN US AT THE ROTARY HARBOURFRONT PARK FOR A CELEBRATION OF CULTURE FROM 12:30pm - 5:30pm
A vibrant showcase of music, dance, and culture from around the world, right here in Cobourg!
Join us on Canada Day between 1 and 5pm for a joyful celebrationof the many cultures that make up our community and country.
Set against the backdrop of the Cobourg Waterfront Festival, around the pond at the park, this afternoon of live performances brings together traditional music, dance, and fashion from across the globe.
Enjoy the rhythms of a live Mariachi band, the rich sounds ofColombian singers and dancers, and the soulful voice of a Jamaican solo artist. Experience the artistry of bellydancing, Filipino traditional dance, and passionate Flamenco footwork, along with the energy of local favourites like the Northumberland Dance Troupe.
Soak in the harmonies of Celtic vocalists, admire colourful cultural costumes worn by multicultural models, and let the music move you. It’s a celebration for all ages. You can dance along or simply enjoy the show.
You’ll also be able to discover a variety of multicultural foods that reflect the diversity of the performances. From savoury bites to sweet treats, there’s something to satisfy every appetite.
