Experience Cobourg is seeking your help to capture the heart and soul of our town through photos and videos. The theme for 2026 is Storytelling through People. We are seeking content that showcases people enjoying Cobourg’s natural beauty, embracing the energy of local events, or simply living life in this vibrant town.
We want to see how locals, visitors, and adventurers connect with Cobourg through moments of joy, exploration, and community. If you've captured people experiencing Cobourg on the beach, at a festival, in a cafe, or exploring Cobourg’s stunning nature, we want to see your photos and videos.
Your submissions may not only be featured in Experience Cobourg marketing materials, but each entry also has the chance to win incredible local prizes.

We are seeking both photos and videos that will help us share the best aspects of Cobourg through the experiences of the people who live, visit, and work here. We want to see expressions and windows into the fun, festival, outdoors, sport, shopping and all of the moments that make this place unforgettable. We want to showcase all the seasons and all the hidden gems this town offers. We want to see people in the places you love.

We are looking for content in the following categories:
Capture visitors or locals exploring Cobourg's historic sites, landmarks and iconic buildings. Indoor and outdoor scenes are both welcome. We would love to see how you see Cobourg's history.
We want to see people in action at festivals, performances, markets and any other community gatherings. Our town spirit is one of the things that make Cobourg special and we hope to see that sentiment reflected in your pictures.
Have you captured real-life moments and interactions lately? We're looking for people out and enjoying the town. Show us hanging out in a café, shopping in a unique store, strolling the streets or laughing in a favourite spot. Show us the faces of Cobourg!
These are the quintessential pictures of spring, summer, winter, and fall in Cobourg. Paddleboarding, strolling, skating — leaves, snow, sunshine and flowers — we want to see it all. It's that seasonal beauty we're looking for.
Short (max 60 seconds) video clips that dynamically capture people in action. It could be a group celebrating, kids playing on the beach, or a moment of peace in nature. This content can be shot horizontally or vertically and could be used for stories, reels or website video content.

Only one submission per entry. If you would like to enter more than one photo or video, you must fill out the form multiple times.
- The contest is open to everyone: local residents, visitors and all photographers.
- Entrants may submit multiple times. Each submission must be uploaded through the official entry form separately.
- Entrants can only win one category prize.
- All photography entrants, regardless of whether they win a category prize, are eligible for the Grand Prize.
- All photos must be submitted as high-resolution (minimum 1080px wide) PNG or JPEG files.
- All videos must be submitted as an MP4 or MOV file and may not exceed 60 seconds in length.
- All submissions must be received by 5pm EST on September 30, 2026.
- All content entered in this contest becomes the property of Experience Cobourg and the Town of Cobourg and can be used in social media, advertising campaigns, print and digital content and other Experience Cobourg content.
- Entrants certify they have the permission of all identifiable people in the content to use used for Cobourg marketing material.
- Entrants certify their entries are their own original work.
- All entries must be separately uploaded through the official submission form.
- Entrants certify that no artificial intelligence (AI) generated content will be submitted in the contest.
- All entries will be carefully reviewed, and category as well as grand prize winners will be announced after the contest closes on September 30, 2026.
- All winners will be notified via email.
