The Concert Hall at Victoria Hall is a historic venue for Concerts, Plays and Musicals featuring local professional and amateur talent and featuring national and international performers.

In Cobourg’s Victoria Park stands a powerful tribute to one of its own: Fern Blodgett Sunde, the first Canadian female wireless radio operator and the first woman to serve at sea during the Second World War. Unveiled on October 17, 2020, the life-sized bronze statue, titled Make Waves by sculptor Tyler Fauvelle, honours Sunde’s groundbreaking service aboard the Norwegian merchant ship Mosdale during the Battle of the Atlantic.
A twin monument was unveiled on May 8, 2025, in Farsund, Norway—where Sunde settled after the war—overlooking the fjord at “Fern Sundes Plass.” Together, the statues in Cobourg and Farsund celebrate Sunde’s legacy, her role in breaking barriers for women, and the enduring bond between Canada and Norway.

The restored Rochester Ferry mural on First Street has officially been unveiled, thanks to the efforts of the Cobourg and District Historical Society. Originally painted in 2001, the mural had begun to fade, prompting a much-needed refresh. Now the mural not only restores a vibrant piece of public art but also reconnects the community with a significant part of Cobourg's past. Celebrating the historic ferry service that once linked Cobourg to Rochester, New York, the artwork serves as a visual tribute to the town’s heritage. Its restoration brings history to life and enhances the town's cultural landscape, blending storytelling and artistry to enrich the experience of residents and visitors alike.

Originally displayed downtown through a partnership with Art Gallery of Northumberland, Town of Cobourg, Ontario, Downtown Cobourg BIA, Lakefront Utilities Services, and a local landlord, 'The Growing Wild' mural by Shackleton has now been relocated indoors to the Cobourg Community Centre.

On the south wall of Cobourg’s Mystic Roots Salon and Spa, you’ll find a stunning and whimsical piece of art known as the Mystic Roots Wings. These beautifully crafted wings have quickly become a beloved photo spot for visitors and locals alike. With two different wing sizes — one for adults and one perfectly sized for children (and even pets!) — everyone can strike a pose and capture a magical moment. Located on Cobourg's West Beach the Waterfront Boardwalk extends from Ontario Street to Hibernia Street and includes north-south connections to Ontario Street, Bagot Street, and Durham Street. The Boardwalk was originally built nearly 20 years ago. In 2023, Council approved its reconstruction after the existing boardwalk was deemed to have reached the end of its service life. In 2025, the Town of Cobourg has begun replacing the waterfront boardwalk to ensure it is fully accessible to everyone. The new boardwalk will feature a wider pathway, providing improved access for cyclists and individuals using mobility aids

At the heart of Chris Garrett Memorial Park stands Hero’s Flight, a striking sculpture dedicated to the memory of Cst. Chris Garrett. Made up of twenty-four birds in flight, the artwork symbolizes the energy, unpredictability, and courage that marked his life and service. The statue invites visitors to pause and reflect on Garrett's sacrifice while protecting Cobourg's citizens. More than just a memorial, it stands as a lasting tribute to a fallen hero who gave his life protecting others.

Cobourg’s Waterfront hosts the work of two Indigenous Artists. Take a stroll along the beach and Harbourfront to see the work of Koren Smoke and Rick Beaver.

The lamp posts host vibrant expressions of storytelling, tradition, and remind us of our connections to the land.

Introibo ad Altare Dei is a bronze sculpture by Canadian artist William McElcheran that has stood in Downtown Cobourg since 1988. Representing the theme “things aren’t always as they seem,” the businessman figure challenges viewers' assumptions. Though one of four castings, Cobourg’s version was the town’s first outdoor public artwork. After being vandalized and briefly stored, he was returned to King Street thanks to local efforts. Today, the sculpture stands as a symbol of resilience, public art, and reflection on modern life.

The Gathering Place Memorial, located at the east end of Victoria Park near the Lion-Lioness Pavilion, is a peaceful space dedicated to women who have experienced violence. Once home to local artist Frances Gage’s Sheltering Form sculpture, the area was transformed into a tranquil memorial through the efforts of the ESAV Committee and generous community support. Each year on December 6, a ceremony is held there to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, honoring the 14 women killed in the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre in Montreal.
