Canadians across the country and around the world show their pride in their history, culture and achievements on July 1. Canada Day in Cobourg has been a tradition in our beautiful Town for many years, bringing our entire community together, for residents and visitors to enjoy and share our special bond of living in one of the greatest countries in the world.
Join in the excitement during this visitor and community member favourite. Represent the community and country by wearing your red and white and, even better, register to participate in the parade above. We are looking forward to celebrating with you.
CANADA DAY PARADE | begins at 11am
Get a good spot along King Street and follow the parade to Victoria Park.
OPENING CEREMONIES | 12:30pm
Join MC York Bell-Smith for our annual welcome at the Bandshell in Victoria Park

FIREWORKS | Beginning at 10pm
Don't miss the traditional fireworks extravaganza over the harbour and marina. Get your seat on the beach and look up to be amazed.

Parking is limited by the waterfront and downtown, especially during events. We recommend taking one of the free shuttles, ride share or biking if possible.
If you would rather not think about where you’re going to park while you enjoy your time during the festivities, you can park your car for free at the Northumberland Mall at 111 Elgin Street West or at the Cobourg Community Centre, 750 D’Arcy Street, and catch a complimentary shuttle to and from the event.
The shuttle stops approximately every 30 minutes at each of the below destinations during the festival and will bring you right to the festival or back to your vehicle. Please remember that traffic and wait times are beyond the shuttle driver’s control.
As the Festival is not a pet-friendly event, ONLY service animals will be permitted to ride the shuttles.

A vibrant showcase of music, dance, and culture from around the world, right here in Cobourg!
Join us on Canada Day between 1 and 5pm for a joyful celebration of the many cultures that make up our community and country.
Set against the backdrop of the Cobourg Waterfront Festival, around the pond at the park, this afternoon of live performances brings together traditional music, dance, and fashion from across the globe.
Enjoy the rhythms of a live Mariachi band, the rich sounds of Colombian singers and dancers, and the soulful voice of a Jamaican solo artist. Experience the artistry of belly dancing, Filipino traditional dance, and passionate Flamenco footwork, along with the energy of local favourites like the Northumberland Dance Troupe.
Soak in the harmonies of Celtic vocalists, admire colourful cultural costumes worn by multicultural models, and let the music move you. It’s a celebration for all ages. You can dance along or simply enjoy the show.
You’ll also be able to discover a variety of multicultural foods that reflect the diversity of the performances. From savoury bites to sweet treats, there’s something to satisfy every appetite.
