CPKC Holiday Train
The CPKC Holiday Train will be stopping in Cobourg Saturday, November 29th at 12:05pm.
Every year, Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) transforms a full-size freight train into a moving festival of light and sound. Decorated from end to end with thousands of dazzling LED lights, the Holiday Train travels across Canada and the U.S., stopping in communities to spread cheer and raise funds for local food banks.
Now in its 27th year, the Holiday Train has become a cherished tradition for families everywhere. Since 1999, it has raised over $26 million and collected 5 million pounds of food to support people struggling with food insecurity across North America.
When the Holiday Train arrives at the Columbus Centre, one of its rail cars transforms into a stage for a free outdoor concert. You’ll enjoy a lively performance packed with festive music, community energy, and a touch of railway magic.
The show typically lasts around 30 minutes, so bundle up, bring your holiday spirit, and arrive a little early to grab a great spot along the viewing area.
Supporting the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank
Admission to the Holiday Train stop is completely free, but we’re encouraging everyone to bring a non-perishable food item or make a cash donation to the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank as representatives will be on site for the event.
Every contribution stays right here in our community, helping local families put food on the table during the holiday season. CPKC will also make a direct donation to the Food Bank to support their essential work.
The Holiday Train is a beautiful reminder of what the holidays are really about — coming together, sharing joy, and supporting one another. Bring your family, your friends, and your holiday spirit as we come together to celebrate the season and support others in our community.
