Midway Drive-In Farewell
The Midway Drive-In reopens September 5 and 6 for a special Farewell Fundraiser in support of the YMCA’s Back on Track program. Thanks to more than 750 community votes, the lineup is set: The Jungle Book and Grease on Friday, followed by The Lion King and Pirates of the Caribbean on Saturday. Every ticket sold helps support youth in need across Northumberland—don’t miss this unforgettable weekend under the stars!
Motor City Cat Show
Hear ye! The Motor City Cat Show comes to Cobourg on September 6 & 7 at the Cobourg Community Centre (CCC). Step into a medieval-themed A Knight’s Tail weekend with cats of all breeds competing in style, vendors, and fun for the whole family. Women Happy at the Movies: Jane Austen Wrecked My Life
Women Happy at the Movies (WHAM) is a special film and luncheon event for women, taking place on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Doors open at noon, and the film begins at 1:00 PM in the Concert Hall at Victoria Hall. Tickets are $25 plus a service fee, and availability is limited, so be sure to reserve your seats early.
Lo & the High Road- An Evening of Folk Music
Join Lo & the High Road and Shannon Linton on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 7:00 PM in Victoria Hall’s Citizens Forum for an evening of folk music. Experience a mix of Celtic favourites, original songs inspired by nature and folklore, and powerful storytelling that will take you on a journey through both real and imagined worlds.
Art Draw for History
Join us for a very special Saturday afternoon curated art fundraiser in support of the Cobourg & Area Museum. The event takes place 4-6 pm on September 13, 2025, in Victoria Hall’s Ballroom at 55 King Street West, Cobourg. Each ticket holder may bring a guest and will enjoy an elegant afternoon of music and hors d’oeuvres, with the opportunity to select a piece of art valued higher than the price of admission.
Terry Fox Run
The annual Terry Fox Run takes place on Sunday, September 14, starting at 8:00 AM at the Blue Pavilion in Victoria Park and running until 12:00 PM. Participants of all abilities are welcome, including those using bicycles, rollerblades, or wheelchairs. The Terry Fox Run raises much-needed funds for cancer research, and the September date was chosen by Terry himself to continue his legacy. This date has become a meaningful tradition for the Terry Fox Foundation, honoring Terry’s wish that the annual run take place at this time each year. Please note that event details are subject to change, so check back before Run Day to confirm.

Take a stroll to the Cobourg Farmers Market. Founded in 1839, is one of Ontario’s oldest markets and a true community hub. Operating weekly from May to October at Rotary Harbourfront Park, it features local produce, meats, baked goods, crafts, and more. 100% producer-run, the market supports local farmers and artisans while offering a lively space to connect, shop, and celebrate Cobourg’s community spirit.
