The summer tradition of “Piping Down the Sun” in Cobourg is quickly coming to an end.
Throughout the summer, members of the Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums have gathered on weekends at Cobourg Pier to fill the waterfront with the unmistakable sound of the pipes as daylight fades and the sun begins to set over Lake Ontario.
The final performance is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, when the band promises another special treat for those who gather at Cobourg Pier at the end of Division Street to enjoy the music and sunset.
For those who have made this beautiful evening tradition part of their summer, there are only two more weekends to experience the pipes, the sunset at Cobourg’s spectacular waterfront.
