How to prep your device for 9:00 a.m. bookings

Competition can be fierce for favourite campsites especially on popular weekends.

Our online reservation system opens at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2. If you want the best chance of securing your dream site, choose your campsite in advance and be ready to book as soon as the window opens.

Here’s how to prep your device for the 9:00 a.m. booking blitz:

1. Use an up-to-date browser

As software makers release new versions of their browsers, older versions stop receiving updates and gradually lose compatibility with current web technology.

Our online reservation system requires an up-to-date browser to ensure all features work properly. The system performs best with the latest versions of:

• Chrome
• Microsoft Edge
• Firefox
• Safari

Check which browser you’re using ahead of time. If you’re using one of the browsers listed above and it’s up to date, you’re all set.

2. Check your clock

Once your browser session is open, the time clock is controlled by JavaScript and updates automatically based on your browser. Even so, your device’s clock may be slightly faster or slower than the reservation system server even by fractions of a second.

Using an up-to-date browser helps ensure closer synchronization.

Reservations open at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).

3. Wait until 9:00 a.m.

If you try to reserve a campsite before it becomes available at 9:00 a.m., you won’t be able to add it to your cart. You’ll then need to restart the booking process, which can cost valuable time.

4. Clear your cache

We recommend periodically clearing your browser cache to help it run more efficiently. The reservation system uses cookies to improve your search experience. While browsers usually clear older cookies automatically, clearing them manually can help resolve issues.

If you encounter a spinning wheel that doesn’t go away, this is often a sign that your cache needs to be cleared.

5. Close and reopen your browser

If your computer or mobile device has been running for several days, close your browser completely and reopen the reservations website before booking. This simple step can fix issues that may prevent a successful reservation.
